We only accept film/presentation submissions via a private vimeo or youtube link. We do not accept separate files.

What if the reviewers cannot get my film/visual presentation to play?
If we’re having issues accessing your film/visual presentation or receive any errors, an alternative link will be requested; however, if we are not then able to successfully access your material, we may have to reject your submission.
How many short films/visual presentations can I submit?
We are only accepting one short film/visual presentation per person.
Can you provide feedback on my film/visual presentation and my concept for an original television project?
Only those people who are selected to pitch to UCP and Ground Control will receive feedback on their short films/visual presentations and their concept for an original television project. They will receive feedback from UCP and Ground Control upon the pitchout of their original concept for a television project.
Is there a fee for submitting my short film/visual presentation?
No, all submissions are free.
Who is permitted to submit into the Film Lab initiative?
All participants must be at least 18 years of age, be eligible to work in the United States, and comply with all creative and other stated requirements, which can be found on the submission website. Any submissions or entrants that do not meet the stated requirements will not be reviewed or considered.

Yes, all participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Can I submit to the UCP/Ground Control Film Lab if I’ve submitted to other festivals?
Yes, we accept short films/visual presentations even if they’ve been in other festivals. However, your concept for a television project must be an original concept.
